About the role

  • Diesel Technician/Mechanic diagnosing and repairing engines at customer sites. Responsible for maintenance and repair tasks while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.
  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools
  • Completes complex internal engine repairs
  • Performs engine overhauls unassisted
  • Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
  • Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Requirements

  • 14/14 shift day/ night shift rotation
  • Travel to remote mine site and accommodation provided
  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience.
