About the role

  • Territory Sales Manager growing HVAC dealer sales for a Canadian products company. Managing approximately 50 dealers, revenue, customer relationships, and territory growth.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, maintain, develop, and grow a volume-driven and profitable base of approximately 50 target and core dealers
  • Target and sign up dealers within the assigned territory
  • Build sales through active communication with existing and potential customers about product launches, services, supplies, prices, programs, and discounts
  • Maintain and improve sales revenue and gross margin
  • Maintain accurate call history within the CRM system
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers and branch teams to increase sales within assigned branches
  • Develop remedial action plans as required to meet or exceed weekly customer development and sales targets
  • Serve as channel expert on product features, benefits, performance, and design guidelines
  • Ensure client accounts have information needed to meet customer service expectations, including promotions, product launches, billing, returns, and product changes
  • Contact customers periodically to determine satisfaction with the organization, products, and services
  • Monitor competitive activity and trends within the territory
  • Expand knowledge of company products and features
  • Follow work instructions, operating procedures, and company policies
  • Perform additional projects and duties supporting ongoing business needs

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably within the HVAC industry
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient sales ability and ability to build and execute a robust sales plan
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CRM, Salesforce, expense reporting, and internal systems
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
  • Negotiation and sales-plan execution ability
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
  • High focus and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings/plans
  • Knowledge of HVAC products, services, customers, and market trends
  • Discernment and sound judgment
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity
  • Ability to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned region
  • Legally authorized for employment in Canada without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future
