Responsibilities
Plan, organize, maintain, develop and grow a base of approximately 50 target and key distributors, focused on volume and profitability.
Identify and recruit distributors within the assigned territory.
Drive sales through proactive communication with existing and prospective customers about new products, services, supplies, pricing, programs and discounts.
Maintain and improve revenue and gross margin.
Ensure accurate tracking of calls in the CRM system.
Collaborate with branch managers and their teams to increase sales in branches within the assigned territory.
Develop corrective action plans to meet or exceed weekly customer development and sales targets.
Act as the distribution-channel expert on product features, benefits, performance and design guidelines.
Ensure customer accounts have the necessary information regarding policies, promotions, product launches, billing, returns and product changes.
Periodically contact customers to assess their satisfaction with the organization, products and services.
Monitor competitive activity and trends in the territory.
Deepen knowledge of the company’s products and features.
Understand and comply with work instructions, standard operating procedures and company policies.
Perform other tasks or projects as needed to support business activities.
Ensure work is aligned with management expectations, objectives and vision.
Be accountable for growing sales volumes and developing new business.
Make decisions and resolve issues in accordance with policies, procedures and the business plan, under the supervision of the senior manager or regional sales director.
Requirements
Strong sales skills and the ability to develop and execute an effective sales plan.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems, including CRM, Salesforce and expense reporting.
Relationship development, customer service, negotiation and sales-plan execution skills.
Strong organizational, time-management and multitasking abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain focus.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
Knowledge of HVAC products, services, customers and market trends.
Good judgment, discretion, autonomy and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Professional work ethic and integrity.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally in the HVAC sector.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Travel required up to 60% within the assigned region.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
