About the role

  • Business Development Manager growing Oticon’s hearing healthcare sales across Atlantic Canada. Managing customer relationships, territory targets, technical support, training, and market expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth by owning a sales territory
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Develop new sales opportunities and meet territory sales goals
  • Provide technical customer service, clinical support, and product training
  • Grow and maintain existing business through competitive conversions and market share gains
  • Meet annual sales quotas and associated sales metrics
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including customer contacts, appointments, and call notes
  • Build and present an annual territory business plan and QBR updates to the RSM, Director of Sales, and other relevant participants
  • Prepare and conduct technical presentations and demonstrations
  • Evaluate territory performance against sales forecasts, budgets, new accounts, discount levels, and gross margins; take corrective action
  • Ensure territory sales activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Train in-house staff and customers on company products and services
  • Collaborate with Marketing at conferences, trade shows, seminars, and workshops, including developing and presenting slide decks

Requirements

  • A related post-secondary degree is required
  • Formal education in hearing care (Audiology, HIS) required
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience, preferably in healthcare or hearing aid clinic setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with customers
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills with technical aptitude
  • Ability to represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Frequent travel (50% - 70%) within territory and at times Canada or International
  • Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce.com), Excel, Power Point software
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with varying degree of tasks (sales, training, tech support, telephone support, etc.)
  • Must own a reliable vehicle (max 6 years old) and have a valid driver’s license
