About the role

  • Senior Solutions Engineer shaping complex enterprise sales for Docker’s developer tooling and security platform. Leading technical discovery, PoCs, AI governance, and container security strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery across Platform Engineering, DevOps, Security, and AI/ML teams
  • Shape technical requirements early in sales cycles
  • Design, position, and execute structured PoCs/PoVs
  • Develop custom code, scripts, and integrations for customer environments
  • Define success criteria, evaluation frameworks, and executive-ready value summaries
  • Influence decision-making through demos, workshops, architecture reviews, and technical executive briefings
  • Translate AI security and governance capabilities into business value narratives
  • Advise customers on responsible AI, secure AI model lifecycle management, software supply chain integrity, container security, and DevSecOps
  • Guide implementation of governance controls across AI-enabled SDLC workflows
  • Provide architectural guidance for agentic AI environments, policy-as-code enforcement, and identity and access governance
  • Build and expand relationships with technical champions
  • Influence broader buying groups and uncover cross-sell and expansion opportunities
  • Maintain engagement after the initial sale
  • Advocate for customer needs with Product and Engineering
  • Coordinate with Post Sales and Support
  • Develop reusable technical assets such as workshops, demos, reference architectures, and enablement content
  • Support competitive sales motions and develop technical win strategies
  • Educate clients about the product roadmap and provide product training

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solution Architect in complex enterprise sales
  • Strong experience running competitive PoCs/PoVs with clearly defined success and exit criteria
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior technical and business stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, DevOps, and modern application architectures
  • Love of developer tooling
  • Experience with Docker, container ecosystems, or adjacent technologies strongly preferred
  • Development, Agentic AI development, Software Development Lifecycle, and/or Software Supply Chain experience strongly preferred
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 25%
