About the role
- Staff Software Engineer building scalable AI/ML platforms for Domino, which helps organizations operate data science and AI solutions. Developing model deployment, monitoring, catalog, and LLM hosting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Build software for developing, training, deploying, and managing machine learning models
- Collaborate with customers to design model deployment solutions for AWS SageMaker and Azure ML
- Introduce a Data Science Catalog for discovering and summarizing global data science resources
- Integrate model monitoring for deployment health and performance visibility
- Enhance tagging capabilities across Domino entities for discoverability and tracking
- Expand LLM hosting capabilities for scale, performance, and logging
- Develop platform capabilities for API integration, model registry, collaboration, discoverability, and scalable training resources
Requirements
- 8+ years in a software engineering individual contributor role
- Extensive experience or knowledge designing, building, and deploying AI/ML models
- Deep understanding of model development, training, optimization, and lifecycle management
- Experience with advanced AI/ML tools, frameworks, and platforms
- Experience developing and managing high-performance back-end systems in distributed computing environments
- Experience integrating systems with front-end interfaces and third-party services
- Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable APIs, including RESTful APIs and gRPC
- Experience profiling and optimizing back-end performance in cloud environments or with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Apache Spark, Azure ML, or SageMaker experience is a plus
