About the role
- Bilingual Proofreader editing and formatting press releases for Notified, a PR and IR communications platform. Supporting clients with distribution, regulatory filings, account maintenance, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Review clients’ press releases for grammatical errors, spelling errors, and inconsistencies; fact-checking is not involved
- Format press releases to closely match the client’s original version
- Support clients with requests and enquiries via phone and email
- Assist with regulatory needs, including SEDAR and EDGAR filing
- Assist with account maintenance, including managing email lists, adding users and accounts, and managing multimedia libraries
- Learn about and support other Notified products
- Act as clients’ primary contact for administrative, consultative, and press release service requests
- Collaborate with teammates and across departments
- Report to a Team Lead
- Distribute press releases through the global network to journalists, terminals, and websites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field required, or equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements
- 1-2 years of professional experience required
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment required
- Fluency in English and French required
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to maintain focus in stressful situations
- Exceptional time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to work occasional overtime during high volume periods
- Required to work occasional weekend on-call shifts, holidays and occasional remote monitoring shifts outside the typical schedule each year
