About the role

  • Product Marketing Intern supporting credit-card and deposit campaigns at EQ Bank, a Canadian challenger bank. Coordinating launches, customer communications, research, reporting and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of product marketing initiatives across credit cards and deposits, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, usage, cross-sell, retention and customer communications
  • Assist with campaign development from briefing through launch, including coordinating inputs, creative development, timelines, reviews, approvals and implementation
  • Help develop and proofread customer-facing marketing materials across email, digital, in-app, website, paid media, partner channels and internal communications
  • Coordinate with Product, Digital, Data and Analytics, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Operations, and external agency partners
  • Conduct market, competitor and customer research and summarize findings to support product positioning, value propositions, campaign planning and optimization
  • Assist with campaign tracking and reporting by gathering results, organizing data and identifying initial insights, trends and opportunities
  • Support customer journey and test-and-learn initiatives to improve marketing effectiveness and customer experience
  • Maintain project plans, marketing calendars, status updates, campaign documentation and approval records
  • Assist with budget administration, invoice coordination, expense tracking and reconciliation
  • Prepare presentations, meeting materials and updates for Product Marketing leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Provide general support across the Product Marketing team and take on additional assignments based on evolving business priorities

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Communications or a related field, with eligibility to participate in a co-op work term
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including careful proofreading and attention to detail
  • Strong organization, time management and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in using customer, market and performance information to support decisions
  • Curiosity about marketing, customer behaviour, financial services and digital products
  • Collaborative and comfortable working with different teams and stakeholders
  • Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn in an environment where priorities may change
  • Previous marketing, communications, project coordination or financial services experience is an asset but not required
  • All candidates considered for hire must successfully complete a criminal background check and credit check
