About the role
- Senior ServiceNow Engineer designing and operating ServiceNow solutions for EQ Bank, Canada’s Challenger Bank. Leading feature delivery, integrations, platform reliability, and engineer mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support ServiceNow applications, workflows, catalog items, integrations, and the platform
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of major ServiceNow features and modules
- Own feature delivery from requirements gathering through deployment
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, implementation partners, system administrators, business analysts, and external vendors
- Serve as a subject matter expert in ServiceNow development, configuration, and integration
- Enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to peers and junior engineers
- Mentor junior engineers and administrators
- Support release management, application rollouts, and upgrades
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues
- Prepare technical documentation for system designs, configurations, and user guides
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Support Configuration Management, Service Mapping, and CMDB/CSDM initiatives
- Assist with configuration, management, and day-to-day operations of the ServiceNow platform
Requirements
- At least 4 years' experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with demonstrated progression in scope and impact
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with Service Mapping and CMDB/CSDM is an asset; ability to contribute to related projects when required
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST/SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and database concepts
- Preferred certifications: Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or equivalent
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to mentor and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
