About the role

  • Learning & Development Advisor at Fasken designing effective training programs. Enhancing engagement and alignment with firm goals through collaboration and innovative learning methods.

Responsibilities

  • The Learning & Development (L&D) Advisor plays a key role in the firm’s learning and development functions by designing, developing and delivering high-impact training initiatives for lawyers and business professionals.
  • Ensure optimal alignment with firm goals and create programs that encourage adoption and engagement within regions.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director, Learning & Development, SMEs, learning & development teams and other stakeholders.
  • Leverage best practices in adult learning and instructional design to build strong training programs.
  • Provide guidance on learning design, support needs analyses, create curriculums for learning & development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in instructional design, adult education, learning technologies, project management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience designing and delivering learning programs, preferably within a professional service or corporate environment.
  • Experience with curriculum design and training program coordination.
  • Knowledge of recognized training methods related to adult learning and of best practices in project management and change management.
  • Understanding of the use of Artificial Intelligence in learning & development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to quickly build relationships, bring stakeholders together around common goals, and facilitate training sessions.
  • Collaborative spirit and desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Creativity, technical proficiency and a strong understanding of the professional services environment.
  • Strong writing skills to produce clear, concise, and effective materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
