About the role
- Senior Software Developer optimizing routing of millions of customer interactions within Genesys Cloud platform. Building and evolving core microservices for real-time communication.
Responsibilities
- Own the end to end design, development, testing, and deployment of features within a high scale routing microservice
- Drive improvements to system performance, scalability, and reliability across a globally distributed cloud platform
- Resolve complex technical challenges by analyzing production issues and implementing durable, long term solutions
- Influence architectural decisions by advocating for maintainability, observability, and automation across services
- Review and elevate code quality across the team, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices and platform standards
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver cohesive platform capabilities and align on technical direction
- Strengthen platform resilience by proactively identifying risks and improving system behavior under load
- Participate in on call rotations to support service reliability and continuously improve incident response mechanisms
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- 6+ years of professional software development experience in Java or a similar language
- Strong experience designing and building distributed systems or microservices architectures
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with scalable and maintainable solutions
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
- Experience working in collaborative, cross functional engineering environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
