About the role

  • Senior Software Engineer shaping Mercury’s Treasury platform for startup cash management. Leading full-stack architecture and customer-facing products managing billions in assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional, customer-facing projects spanning Treasury engineering, operations, compliance, banking, and risk teams
  • Define the technical architecture and experience of the Treasury product
  • Collaborate with product, design, and operations to ship features for customers and internal users
  • Own and actively take responsibility for the product and help shape Mercury’s future
  • Join a team of experienced and junior product engineers managing billions of dollars of customer assets

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience building and operating backend systems to customer facing experiences
  • Effective communication and collaboration with peers and cross-functional counterparts
  • Successful track record acting as the technical lead of complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Product-minded engineering approach, including consideration for developers consuming APIs and customer expectations
  • Domain knowledge of being a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer supporting individual securities (equities, fixed income) and mutual funds
  • Willingness to mentor junior and senior engineers
