About the role

  • Project Management Specialist managing contracts for nuclear power plant projects. Ensuring project delivery, cost accountability, and compliance with governmental requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources
  • Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
  • Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
  • Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
  • Support the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan & related project plans and project procedures
  • Ensure compliance with U. S. government requirements as applicable
  • Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
  • Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
  • Other relevant duties assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience working on projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution
  • Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
  • Financial control knowledge and understanding
  • Demonstrated professional interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently
  • Ability to influence others
  • Extreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organized
