Responsibilities
Serve as a regional expert for employee lifecycle events and HR functions in Canada
Provide senior-level support on Canadian market norms, compliance, legislation, benefits, payroll, and Canada-specific HR matters
Manage Canadian payroll providers, benefits brokers, HR advisors, and other partners
Collaborate with Customer Services on strategic HR support for client acquisition and customer relationships
Support off-boarding and termination processes in compliance with Canadian labour laws
Drive adoption and integration of product and AI initiatives to improve internal processes and HR Operations workflows
Address potential errors through creative negotiation and develop win-win-win solutions
Solve complex problems using analytical thinking
Handle ongoing matters with existing clients and resolve client queries
Maintain customer and professional data in online portals and vendor platforms
Lead end-to-end compliance projects with cross-functional teams
Drive local and global initiatives that enhance products and services
Requirements
BS/BA degree or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or a related field
5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, and/or HR Business Partner
Solid knowledge of HR concepts, practices, and procedures
In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and legal requirements
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize, self-motivate, regulate, and work independently and in a team environment
Resourceful and adaptable approach to navigating unknown territory and solving problems in compliance with regulations
English and French oral and written fluency
Experience interacting with people internationally and understanding diverse cultural norms, values, and communication styles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows
Willingness to work flexible hours across time zones for international business
