About the role
- Tour Director guiding Grand Circle’s escorted Canadian Maritimes and Rockies tours. Delivering destination information, coordinating services, and creating memorable traveler experiences.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the program's overall quality and deliver an unforgettable experience for travelers
- Deliver information about the destination, program, and schedule
- Understand travelers' expectations, especially IC Members, and focus on their enjoyment of the trip
- Reconfirm every service with the GCT representative to maintain a cordial and formal relationship
- Listen to travelers' feedback, take notes, and communicate with the GCT Office
- Guide escorted tours in the Canadian Maritimes and/or Canadian Rockies
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience guiding tours in the listed destinations
- Passion for the destinations, their people, culture, and traditions
- Ability to connect travelers with local people beyond tourist destinations
- Knowledge of the destinations’ history, everyday life, nature, and culture
- Flexibility, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Ability to make quick decisions addressing last-minute changes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
Benefits
- $220 USD daily rate
- Up to 20% increase after 3 years based on performance
- Gratuity: $7–$10 per person per day
- Incentive: Up to an additional 40% of base salary upon achieving Excellence goals
