About the role
- Product Data Analyst aiding GS1 Canada's data transformation and product content analytics. Collaborating with data team to execute strategic governance and support initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Work very closely with Product Data team in the implementation of the attribution strategy and data model
- Develop a deep understanding of the GS1 Canada business model, our services and applications
- Become an organization expert in the area of subscriber product content
- Maintain the wiki and governance practices established for attributes
- Actively perform attribute mapping, process and flow diagramming
- Build and maintain the master list of challenges and tasks identified from various pipelines
- Coordinate attribute related inquiries internally
- Become subject matter expert on everything attributes at GS1 Canada
- Collaborate with business analysis teams and participate in the development and build of new solutions design
- Work with stakeholders across the organization to provide product content data support
Requirements
- 2-3 years related experience, with bachelors or master’s degree in computer science or data related fields
- Previous experience in a data analytical role aligning with reporting, analysis, governance or data visualization using SQL, R, Python, Power BI or Tableau
- Experience performing data mapping, process flow diagramming
- Expert command of spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Experience with SQL; other programming and analytical tool exposure is an asset
- Knowledge of data governance tools
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organization and project management skills
