About the role

  • Data Analyst II developing analytics solutions to enable data-driven decisions across operational and customer domains. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize data use and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.
  • Design and develop reporting to test, track and improve results for new and ongoing initiatives.
  • Architect and automate data pipelines to ingest, transform, and distribute data from multiple sources to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze and optimize the use of data and platforms to drive growth.
  • Perform continuous improvement to tools, data and reports developed or used by the team.
  • Ensure solutions are released properly, and each release is documented.
  • Analyze product, market, and trends to build data models.
  • Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed.
  • Work with data warehouse architects, data scientists, and data collection application engineers.
  • Generate and deliver quality reports to operation and perform quality assurance checks on reports.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems on data models.
  • Set up and maintain BI tools, infrastructure, and integration with company data sources.
  • Translate business requirements and problems into innovative technical solutions.
  • Use data to generate reports to support business decision-making and business performance monitoring.
  • Develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making.

Requirements

  • University degree in data-related field (i.e., Mathematics, Science, Statistics, AI, Computer Science, etc.), or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge of BI reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL Skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake).
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional modelling.
  • Power BI expertise is an asset, including data model design, DAX calculations, and report/dashboard development.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Autonomous and with initiative.
  • Ability to think logically and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear business narratives.
  • Motivated to learn new business and technical concepts.
  • Past experience in major enterprise with big contact center and sales department (An asset).
  • Experience in the insurance industry (An asset).
  • Experience with the agile methodology (An asset).
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
