About the role

  • Property Claims Adjuster assisting customers through claims after losses. Join a passionate team and grow your career in insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, through proactive contact with the customer during the claims process.
  • Assess and analyze policy wordings and damage to determine appropriate coverage.
  • Investigate property claims in a timely manner through communication with the customer, vendors, experts, adjusters and any other related parties.
  • Negotiate with customers, third parties and insurers to settle claims, within your established authority scope.
  • Provide phone queue support to complete new claims intake and handle inquiry calls.
  • Stay in the know about current insurance products and trends in appraisal and investigation techniques and services.

Requirements

  • A college diploma or a university degree is preferred
  • Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving and priority management skills
  • Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills
  • On-going commitment to self-development
  • Willing to pursue your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
