About the role

  • Assistant Key Account Manager supporting Jellycat’s luxury soft toy and gift brand across Canadian retail accounts. Managing sales growth, account plans, merchandising, and client relationships with the Key Account Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of Key Accounts and serve as the first point of contact for sales-related conversations
  • Assist with development and execution of account plans and strategies
  • Visit customers to ensure execution of brand guidelines and appropriate merchandising
  • Manage order frequency, product availability, and curated assortments
  • Prospect for new opportunities to enhance portfolio placement
  • Drive business development and growth across the portfolio
  • Track sales targets and report on performance metrics
  • Deliver annual sales and profitability targets
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for client meetings
  • Liaise with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to meet client needs
  • Maintain regular communication through internal meetings, virtual meetings, and product reviews
  • Provide clear updates to the internal team and respond promptly to communications
  • Work closely with the Key Account Manager and Canadian team to support key account growth

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and French
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales or account management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships at all levels
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maximize sales while respecting business limitations and brand guidelines
  • Strong presentation skills, including creating and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Personable and positive mindset and approach
  • Ability to think creatively and outside the box when solving problems
  • Intuitive, imaginative, and open-minded approach
  • Willingness to share ideas and opinions
  • Ability to thrive in group settings and communicate effectively
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally across Canada and to Minneapolis
