About the role

  • Industry Account Manager growing industrial automation accounts and market share for Rockwell Automation. Advising manufacturers, shaping solutions, and negotiating strategic customer opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed annual sales goals and grow market share
  • Understand customers' industries, organizations, applications, standards/regulations, drivers, trends, goals, processes, plans, and organizational models
  • Manage account-growth strategies and coordinate with extended teams
  • Advise customers on applications, industry expertise, projects, and solutions
  • Qualify customer opportunities, engage resources, and coordinate solution design and presentations
  • Collaborate with Industry Managers, account teams, senior management, and technical engagement teams to win opportunities
  • Maintain accurate assessments of targets and opportunities in the Dynamics Customer Relationship Management system
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, pricing, discounts, and allowances with Contracts and Negotiations teams
  • Manage customer and internal account reviews and partner expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • 5 years' experience in industrial automation
  • 5 years' experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration or an engineering firm, or graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program
  • Experience selling to accounts in the food and beverage and agriculture business
  • Ability to travel 40% of time
  • Sell at the senior management & executive levels and convey Rockwell Automation's products & services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value
  • Industrial software experience
