About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing environmental remediation and reclamation projects in Canada’s North. Responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects safely and on schedule within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental remediation, reclamation, demolition, civil earthworks, and pipeline-related projects.
  • Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, scopes, and forecasts.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contracts, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor project performance related to safety, cost, schedule, productivity, profitability, and QA/QC.
  • Manage project costs, forecasting, documentation, progress billings, and change management.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and client deliverables.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and communication throughout project execution.
  • Provide leadership in safety and mentor site supervisors in field reporting and job costing.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of environmental remediation and reclamation work in Canada’s North.
  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related Technologist program.
  • 5–10 years of Project Management experience related to Environmental Remediation/Reclamation, Earthworks, Demolition, Pipeline, or Oil & Gas Construction projects.
  • Experience managing remediation projects in remote or northern environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong estimating experience is considered a major asset.
  • Technical writing experience, including reports and project documentation, is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with dewatering, water treatment, surveying, or heavy equipment operations is an asset.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to remote project locations.
