Heavy Equipment Apprentice Field Service Technician with Liebherr-Canada Ltd. Providing hands-on experience and training in the heavy equipment industry.
Responsibilities
Adhere to company health, environment and safety policies
Attend classroom training as required and complete a recognized apprenticeship framework to a high standard
Ensure and maintain the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others in the workplace
Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled
Study and remain current on relative Liebherr products/manuals
Ensure all documentation is completed as required
Follow a set rotation and training plan in the workplace
Prepare heavy equipment or essential responsibilities for repair
Identify and order parts to complete repair
Cleaning of equipment pre- and post- repair
Carry out repairs, modifications, rebuilds, servicing, maintenance on a range of heavy equipment
Maintaining the workshop and customer areas and keeping inventory areas well-organized
Carry out diagnosis of faults and carry out remedial work
Any other task or project as required to suit business needs
Requirements
Must be enrolled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician program and working towards a Red Seal.
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities
Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time
Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite
