Senior HR Business Partner supporting CBC/Radio - Canada’s unionized Technology and Infrastructure division. Advising leaders on labor relations, organizational development, and strategic people initiatives.
About the role
- People Operations Manager building HR systems, data infrastructure, and lifecycle processes for MagicSchool’s generative AI platform. Leading PEO, EOR, and contingent workforce transitions.
Responsibilities
- Own HRIS, PEO, and Lattice configuration, vendor relationships, and system hygiene
- Build a unified data layer connecting HRIS, payroll, and equity administration
- Establish a single source of truth for headcount, compensation, and employment data
- Design and maintain employee lifecycle workflows from onboarding through exit
- Own scalable process templates and documentation
- Project-manage the transition off the current PEO, including benefits, payroll continuity, and vendor selection
- Stand up a contingent workforce vendor for contractor administration and compliance
- Own IT provisioning and deprovisioning in partnership with IT
- Manage the Employer of Record relationship for Canadian employees
- Ensure legal and operational requirements are met
Requirements
- 5-8 years in HR operations, people operations, or related roles
- Meaningful experience with systems implementation and operational infrastructure
- Proven track record leading a PEO transition, HRIS implementation, or comparable infrastructure project
- Ability to configure and manage HRIS, PEO, and Lattice
- Ability to build models, write formulas, and create reports
- Experience with HR data architecture, data hygiene, and system integrations
- Experience with EOR and/or contingent workforce management is preferred
- Authorized to work in the United States or Canada without visa sponsorship
- Must be based in the United States or Canada
