About the role
- Senior Business Data Analyst supporting data management for various teams at Picton Mahoney Asset Management. Collaborating on data automation needs and delivering business insights in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive business and product support for Data management
- Collaborate with various teams including Investment Management, Portfolio Construction, Trading, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Operations
- Lead projects with higher degree of complexity
- Facilitate the process of defining and documenting business needs and processes
- Create and manage requirements using activity diagrams, use cases, flowcharts, and other analysis techniques
- Identify and document business needs and objectives
- Develop requirement specifications including Business Requirement Documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Act as a key supporting resource in data analysis and present concise reports
- Ensure roadmap is continuously maintained and updated with new business requirements.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in STEM programs including Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or related discipline
- In-depth knowledge of financial concepts and capital markets, wealth management, asset management domain knowledge
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant data analytical experience
- Experienced user of Data Warehouse and Cloud Environment such as Azure
- Proficiency working with business intelligence, analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau, Python, R, SQL, Power BI
- Strong understanding of data management
- Strong analytical skills and statistical analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with management and professionals at various levels
- Ability to work with minimal direction and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and changing environments
