About the role
- Solutions Consultant connecting industrial plant systems to MaintainX’s mobile-first work execution platform. Demonstrating OT connectors and scoping integrations for manufacturing customers.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical story for deals where customer machines, sensors and control systems need to connect to MaintainX
- Run OT discovery with operations and controls teams
- Map customer data sources to the appropriate connector before deal closure
- Demo OT connectors live using prospects' equipment and data
- Scope integrations jointly with Implementation and Professional Services
- Partner with Solutions Architects on custom OT work and provide a clear technical brief
- Log recurring integration requests as product feedback
- Work daily with Account Executives, Solutions Architects, Implementation, Product and R&D
- Coach sellers on when to involve Solutions Consulting
- Support customer portfolios primarily in English-speaking markets
- Travel for customer on-sites
Requirements
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role: solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, implementation, integrations or similar
- Real exposure to manufacturing or industrial operations and how work gets done on the plant floor
- Experience designing or supporting API-based integrations, data workflows or automation
- Working knowledge of OT data sources such as SCADA, historians, PLCs or industrial gateways
- Ability to explain data flows to an operations manager and an IT lead in the same meeting and adjust to each
- Experience running several evaluations at once while keeping every technical detail straight
- Hands-on with Ignition, Kepware, MQTT or OPC UA (nice-to-have)
- Experience with Workato, Boomi, Tray.io, Zapier, or ERP integrations such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics (nice-to-have)
- Background in condition-based or predictive maintenance (nice-to-have)
- Daily verbal and written communication in English with customers
- Ability to work in the listed location
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is requested on the application form
