About the role

  • Coordinator supporting full employee lifecycle, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management at McCarthy Tétrault. Engaging with HR practices and administrative support in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle through recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, performance management, compensation and HR administration
  • Coordinating talent programs and regulatory processes
  • Providing administrative support, maintaining HR records and reporting
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement and team collaboration
  • Managing calendars and scheduling meetings
  • Preparing materials for meetings and attending where appropriate
  • Administering confidential files in OneDrive
  • Creating and maintaining intranet (espresso) pages
  • Identifying PR processes, tasks, and project improvement opportunities and collaborating with PRG team and Firm members to improve
  • Learning about changes in technology and ways to enhance work such as AI, Workday, viGlobal, MS Teams, MS Forms, MS Bookings, SharePoint and Client Connect
  • Providing back-up support to the team
  • Other general support, as required

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in a professional services (or similar) environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities
  • Flexibility to new ideas, frequent change in priorities, etc.
  • May require flexible lunch hours and some evening work during heavy workload periods
