About the role
- Bilingual Reimbursement Specialist coordinating patient support programs at McKesson. Engaging with patients, insurers, and doctors for medication coverage and support services.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the timely enrollment of patients into the Patient Support Program(s)
- Liaise with the patient, insurer and physician regarding documentation for maximum reimbursement coverage
- Conduct patient financial assessment eligibility based on program guidelines
- Provide responses to general inquiry calls based on program materials
- Coordinate with Specialty and Retail pharmacies to ensure patient access to treatment
- Proactively monitor patient’s file to ensure timely renewal of reimbursement and financial assistance
- Process documents supporting patient care, including infusion reports and lab results
- Receive, record and report Adverse Events as per Pharmaceutical Manufacturer requirements
- Participate in departmental continuous improvement activities
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English (and French if a Bilingual role)
- Post-secondary education or equivalent
- 3+ years of related experience in contact centre environment(s)
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or insurance industry would be an asset
- Strong customer service, communication, problem solving skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel)

- Organized with a high attention to detail.
