About the role

  • Technical Solutions Advisor role focusing on mass timber projects with MTC Solutions. Build relationships and provide technical support to enhance project outcomes in a growing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with structural engineers, architects, contractors, developers, mass timber manufacturers, and other key industry stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project, customer, and opportunity information in MTC’s CRM system
  • Support customers during the design and pre-construction phases of mass timber projects
  • Help drive project opportunities forward by coordinating with internal sales, engineering, technical service, operations, and marketing teams
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project information to identify where MTC products can be specified and used to improve project outcomes
  • Work with customers to understand their challenges and connect them with practical solutions
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, project meetings, and industry discussions
  • Stay informed about major mass timber projects, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
  • Travel occasionally across Canada and the United States for customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, project visits, and relationship-building opportunities
  • Work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while staying closely connected to the internal team

Requirements

  • Has a technical background in engineering, construction, architecture, or wood design
  • Enjoys working with people and building long-term professional relationships
  • Has the confidence to speak with engineers, architects, builders, manufacturers, and construction professionals
  • Can understand technical details without losing sight of the broader project objectives
  • Is proactive, self-driven, and comfortable creating momentum without waiting for step-by-step instructions
  • Is organized enough to manage multiple relationships, projects, and follow-ups at the same time
  • Is comfortable working remotely and independently
  • Is willing and able to travel occasionally
