About the role
- ServiceNow Solution Architect designing HAM/SAM asset-management solutions for NewRocket clients. Leading architecture, integrations, governance, and delivery across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for ServiceNow HAM, SAM, ITAM, CMDB, ITOM, and ITSM solution delivery
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for ServiceNow HAM and SAM engagements from discovery and requirements definition through implementation, deployment, and optimization
- Define technical architectures and scalable solution designs aligned with client requirements and ServiceNow industry practices
- Facilitate customer workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, architecture reviews, and technical design discussions
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications, implementation plans, and roadmaps
- Advise clients on asset lifecycle processes, governance, data quality, compliance, and optimization
- Architect HAM solutions covering the complete hardware asset lifecycle
- Architect SAM solutions covering software discovery, normalization, license management, reconciliation, compliance, reclamation, and optimization
- Design integrations with CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, ITSM, Service Catalog, Procurement, ITOM, ERP, endpoint-management, and other enterprise systems
- Establish data governance and process controls for asset, contract, entitlement, and CMDB data
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, data-quality issues, integration gaps, and governance concerns
- Lead delivery collaboration across architects, developers, project managers, and client stakeholders
- Provide engineers with architectural blueprints, technical requirements, data models, integration specifications, and implementation guidance
- Oversee solution quality across configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, testing, security, and deployment
- Deliver outcomes including improved asset visibility, lifecycle control, software compliance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
- Research ServiceNow capabilities and industry trends to recommend enhancements and continuous improvements
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in IT services, enterprise architecture, consulting, or solution delivery
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform
- Significant experience implementing or architecting ServiceNow HAM, SAM, ITAM, or related asset-management capabilities in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of hardware asset lifecycle processes
- Strong knowledge of software asset-management processes
- Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM principles
- Experience implementing integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB capabilities, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Management, Orchestration, CMDB, and CSDM
- Experience with ServiceNow platform configuration and scripting, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with integration technologies and protocols, including SSO, SAML, SSL/TLS, web services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, SOAP, SCP, and FTPS
- Ability to create architecture diagrams, technical designs, data flows, and implementation documentation
- Strong client-facing communication, workshop facilitation, requirements analysis, and stakeholder-management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
