  • Design, run, and improve project management practices for an AI-native team.
  • Use and build AI agents and automations for status updates, activity summaries, risk detection, stale-work detection, and plan maintenance.
  • Establish project management standards and templates, coach product and engineering leads, and develop team-wide project management skills.

  • Work with the Chief Product Officer and product, engineering, research, and partnerships teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical project or program management, delivering complex software with product and engineering teams; transferable experience such as a software engineering background will also be considered.
  • Built or rebuilt a project management practice, including planning cadences, tooling, and standards adopted by a team.
  • Shaped project management for AI-native teams and worked with engineers using AI coding agents.
  • Uses AI daily in project management, including AI agents, automations, or workflows for status reporting, risk detection, planning, or tracker hygiene, with concrete results.
  • Experience delivering under continuous shipping and technical uncertainty in R&D, ML/AI, infrastructure, or developer platforms.
  • Computer science or other technical degree, or 3+ years working as a software engineer.
  • Comfortable reading code, PRs, and architecture documents.
  • Deep, hands-on use of engineering trackers such as Linear, Jira, and GitHub; experience designing team workflows.
  • Clear, concise written and spoken communication for engineers, executives, and funders.
  • Preferred: experience with fully remote distributed teams.
  • Preferred: mentoring or managing project/program managers or helping hire them.
  • Preferred: experience with LLMs, AI evaluation, AI safety, or privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Preferred: early-stage startup or research lab experience building delivery processes from scratch.
  • Preferred: grant-funded or partner-funded deliverables.
  • Preferred: coordinating external partners on pilots or integrations.
  • Preferred: open-source project experience.
