About the role

  • Director of Sales leading Canadian sales channels for Otter Products, a protective technology brands company. Owning P&L, strategic growth, account management, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Sales team for Canada and provide strategic direction
  • Develop strategic plans and allocate resources to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Support professional growth of direct reports and the broader sales team
  • Establish resources and strategies to reach team performance goals
  • Conduct talent development, assessments, check-ins, career path support, succession planning, and performance management
  • Influence the team to deliver a unified business plan
  • Partner with Product and Merchandising on new product opportunities
  • Own full P&L accountability for sales channels
  • Oversee revenue streams, projects, and products to drive sales growth
  • Manage high-level channel relationships
  • Collaborate with National Account Managers and departments to streamline operations and manage inventory
  • Participate in strategic operations and leadership meetings
  • Provide sales and marketing data and recommendations to senior leaders
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets, goals, and plans
  • Analyze sales and financial reports to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Partner with Demand Planning to maintain timely, updated plans
  • Manage Market Development Funds budgets and channel sell-through initiatives
  • Establish channel expectations for brand marketing
  • Coordinate promotions and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Develop channel updates and sales training programs
  • Maintain a positive safety culture and follow safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; experience in lieu of degree may be considered
  • Minimum of ten years of experience managing national sales account activity, including P&L ownership
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a manager or higher-level role
  • Extensive knowledge of the Canadian regulatory landscape, distinct regional markets, and major domestic retail or enterprise networks
  • Up to 50% travel within Canada and to the US required
