About the role

  • Sales director leading seven AEs in winning complex new-logo deals for Portless, a global DTC fulfillment platform. Building sales talent, coaching performance, and scaling international deal execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team of seven new business Account Executives responsible for winning new logos
  • Recruit and retain sales talent as the team scales
  • Build a high-performance, low-ego sales culture
  • Coach Account Executives through call reviews, deal reviews, and 1:1s using the “One Thing” coaching philosophy
  • Support high-potential deals by joining calls, shaping strategy, engaging senior stakeholders, and helping close business
  • Own the team number through accurate forecasting, leading-indicator tracking, and early pipeline diagnosis
  • Run deal cycles across Asia, Europe, Australia, and APAC
  • Develop and refine Portless’s new-business sales playbook
  • Partner with BDRs, Marketing, Onboarding, Client Success, and RevOps
  • Maintain CRM discipline, accurate deal stages, forecasting, and activity logging in HubSpot
  • Hire, retain, and develop the new business team

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience managing quota-carrying Account Executives
  • Track record as a quota-bearing closer in the mid-market and/or enterprise space
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain sales talent
  • Demonstrated ability to build a team culture that consistently hits commitments
  • Demonstrated coaching ability with measurable examples of rep improvement
  • Track record of winning deals personally and helping teams win involved deals
  • Comfort working across time zones, including collaboration with Asia and deal cycles in Europe, Australia, and APAC
  • Experience with CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Gong
  • Experience selling to ecommerce, DTC, or retail brands (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, 3PL, or fulfillment (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with usage-based pricing models (nice-to-have)
  • Experience scaling a sales team during rapid headcount growth (nice-to-have)
  • Previous high-growth startup experience building a sales motion (nice-to-have)
  • Coachable, capable, curious, resilient, driven, and low-ego
