About the role
- Senior Technical Sourcer building pipelines for Plaid, a financial connectivity platform. Researching and engaging passive talent across engineering, AI/ML, infrastructure, data, and security.
Responsibilities
- Own top-of-funnel strategy and execution for technical requisitions across engineering, infrastructure, data, AI/ML, and security
- Build pipelines, engage and qualify candidates, and hand off qualified candidates to recruiters
- Conduct market maps, organizational mapping, competitor teardowns, conference and publication mining, open-source and technical community research, and advanced boolean and x-ray searches
- Find niche and emerging passive technical talent, including AI/ML, applied research, distributed systems, and security engineering
- Write personalized outreach, test messaging, and manage response rates
- Run multiple searches with disciplined follow-up cadences, accurate ATS hygiene, and clean data
- Turn research into talent intelligence, market maps, talent density views, and competitive hiring insights
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers on calibration, role scope, leveling, and search strategy
- Build diverse technical pipelines through broad research and inclusive outreach
- Track and report funnel metrics including response rate, screen pass rate, and stage conversion
- Represent Plaid authentically as a candidate's first impression of the company
Requirements
- 6+ years of technical sourcing/recruiting experience, including in-house sourcing at a high-growth technology company
- Mastery of boolean and x-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical communities, publications, conference sources, and CRM or ATS sourcing workflows
- Demonstrated success in high-volume, high-urgency environments handling multiple technical searches simultaneously
- Fluency in technical skill sets, including ability to assess job specifications, GitHub profiles, and research papers
- Proven sourcing experience in at least one hard-to-fill domain such as AI/ML, data science, data infrastructure, distributed systems, or security engineering
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Data discipline and ability to use funnel metrics
- Meticulous attention to detail and ownership of data hygiene
- Candidate-first approach built on empathy, transparency, and consistent follow-through
