About the role

  • Senior Customer Service Representative assisting Canadians in their insurance processes. Handle client claims and inquiries effectively and empathetically.

Responsibilities

  • Complete insurance and medical questionnaires with clients as required for assessing their insurability.
  • Handle customer calls regarding insurance claims.
  • Collect the information necessary to analyze applications (insurance and risk selection).
  • Assess needs and respond to each request in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
  • Identify and review ideas and trends to promote continuous improvement.
  • Keep product and service knowledge up to date and regularly participate in appropriate professional development courses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service or the medical sector
  • Exceptional active listening and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English to communicate with clients across Canada
  • Understanding of medical terminology (examples: CLSC, medical secretary, personal support worker, pharmacy)
  • Ability to determine the level of importance of information received from clients
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and commitment to service quality
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Team player with a proven ability to collaborate effectively
