Project Manager needed for insurance client. 4 - month contract, 3 days onsite in Toronto, $80 - 85/hr.
About the role
- Project Manager overseeing all phases of Building Restoration projects for Sense Engineering. Leading project teams and ensuring exceptional engineering service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of a project from design, construction, and delivery under the support and guidance of a Project Principal
- Lead proposal development including scope definition, fee estimation, scheduling, and resource planning
- Conduct site investigations and evaluations
- Prepare detailed technical reports of findings, provide recommendations on project concept, and provide direction during construction phase
- Prepare detailed restoration design, including scopes of work, specifications, and drawings
- Chair client meetings and communicate design updates, changes, and key project milestones
- Manage the tendering process and oversee contract administration, including bid preparation, contractor selection, and review of invoices and change orders
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of Building Envelope and/or Structural Restoration experience
- Registered with or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and relationship building skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required
