About the role

  • Director of IT Project Management Office at Scarborough Health Network overseeing technology initiatives. Responsible for planning and delivery of digital and AI projects in healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management leadership for enterprise digital, AI, and IT initiatives aligned with SHN priorities and strategic objectives
  • Leadership accountability for Senior IT Project Managers and Business Analysts across multiple SHN sites
  • Accountable for the enterprise IT project portfolio, including resource planning, capacity management, risk escalation, and performance reporting
  • Establish and enforce project management documentation standards library for SHN IT projects
  • Establish and enforce standardized IT project intake, prioritization, stage-gating, and delivery assurance processes
  • Ensure IT-enabled procurements and solutions comply with SHN architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, procurement, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure department and unit-specific business and enterprise architecture documentation is routinely updated
  • Partner with clinical and corporate leaders to support planning, change management, and execution of IT enabled enterprise initiatives

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Health, Management, or Information Technology (required)
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT and/or digital project management
  • 5–7 years in a leadership role at Senior Manager or Director level
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • ITIL certification preferred
  • Experience in a Canadian healthcare organization with strong understanding of clinical and operational environments
  • Experience with vendor relationship management
  • Strong track record of ethical leadership, professionalism, and organizational stewardship
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent work performance and attendance record
