About the role

  • Human Resources Co-op supporting recruitment, HR administration, engagement, and training programs. Maintaining employee records and contributing to HR projects in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in posting job openings on job boards and social media platforms
  • Screen resumes and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Support candidate communication throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain recruitment and applicant tracking records
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Prepare HR documents, letters, and reports as required
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support document management and HR database updates
  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement initiatives and company events
  • Support internal communications and employee recognition programs
  • Collect and analyze employee feedback when needed
  • Coordinate training schedules and maintain training records
  • Assist with employee development programs and workshops
  • Support the tracking of learning and development metrics
  • Participate in HR improvement initiatives and special projects
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong interest in developing a career in Human Resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HRIS, SAP SuccessFactors, or other HR systems is an asset
