About the role

  • Solutions Engineer enhancing pre-sales functions and customer relationships. Involved with major tech organizations to improve software development practices as part of Sourcegraph's platform.

Responsibilities

  • Help take the pre-sales organization to the next level.
  • Build trusting customer relationships and manage customer calls.
  • Be the advocate for customers by providing feedback to internal teams.
  • Lead early-stage conversations with prospects and identify their needs.
  • Mentor and train teammates and new hires.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years experience in a relevant role such as pre-Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering with a technical product.
  • Experience selling Enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand customer motivations and problems.
  • Proficiency in back end infrastructure architecture.
  • Experience writing code in one of the following: JavaScript, Python, Java, Go.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and continuous integration/deployment.
