About the role
- Technician in traffic maintenance ensuring compliance and safety in construction projects. Collaborating with teams and overseeing nighttime closures in the Greater Montreal area.
Responsibilities
- Ensure work compliance with plans and specifications;
- Monitor nighttime closures in the Greater Montreal area and prepare the site diary;
- Compile and reconcile the work completed by the contractor;
- Verify the contractor’s work methods;
- Maintain a safe work environment;
- Track and manage non-conformities related to traffic maintenance;
- Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders;
- Represent the client’s interests;
- Enforce road signage standards in accordance with TOME V.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in traffic maintenance;
- Secondary V diploma (high school diploma or equivalent);
- Valid driver’s license and access to a car;
- Autonomy and resourcefulness;
- Analytical and integration skills;
- Knowledge of transportation and/or traffic disciplines;
- Knowledge of MTQ standards and guidelines;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
- STC-102 and STC-202 training certificates;
- General construction site health and safety course (ASP construction);
- Good verbal and written communication in French; English is an asset;
- A civil engineering technician diploma would be an asset.
