About the role

  • Brand strategy manager supporting Sun Life Canada’s financial-services brand positioning and initiatives. Translating insights into consistent omnichannel client experiences across Canadian markets.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of Sun Life Canada’s brand strategy and annual planning process
  • Support brand positioning and strategic guidance for marketing and communications teams
  • Translate brand, client, and market insights into actionable initiatives
  • Collaborate with creative, insights, marketing, and communications teams
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Contribute to brand narrative, key themes, brand activations, and initiatives
  • Adapt and implement global brand and creative direction across Canadian markets
  • Support marketing plans and creative briefs
  • Ensure consistent brand storytelling across campaigns and channels
  • Participate in brand reviews and provide guidance on brand standards and best practices
  • Support the evolution and adoption of brand guidelines
  • Support brand architecture and naming-related governance
  • Ensure clarity and consistency across Sun Life’s Canadian brand ecosystem

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in brand strategy and management
  • Strong understanding of brand best practices and consistency
  • Experience developing and implementing brand positioning, strategy, and value propositions
  • Ability to translate research, insights, and data into actionable strategies and recommendations
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and client experience best practices
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel experiences and connected brand experiences across the client journey
  • Strong organizational, project management, and planning skills
  • Ability to define and lead cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with brand measurement, market insights, and marketing performance reporting is preferred
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both oral and written, is required for Quebec locations
