About the role
- Director, Technology Lead managing technology strategy within a defined product area at Sun Life. Overseeing delivery teams and driving operational excellence for mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Enable high quality delivery and engineering excellence within a defined product or capability area
- Translate enterprise and technology strategy into actionable plans for the assigned portfolio
- Lead end to end delivery for the portfolio, ensuring velocity, quality, and reliability
- Mentor managers and senior engineers, fostering a collaborative culture
- Support portfolio level budget planning, cost tracking, and vendor management
- Ensure operational stability and security for systems and applications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles within delivery or engineering
- Demonstrated success delivering complex systems in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment
- Experience leading technical teams and developing engineering talent
- Strong understanding of delivery governance, agile practices, and operational excellence
- Financial services or digital product experience preferred
