About the role
- Senior Data Analyst providing data-driven insights to inform strategies at Sun Life. Collaborating with business stakeholders to drive effective data reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all baseline reporting, ad-hoc requests and project initiatives
- Operationalize reporting and related processes to monitor and assess the success of the campaigns
- Work directly with business audiences to structure analytical problems and approaches, identifying the right questions to ask and structuring the appropriate analytical approaches in a way that business audiences understand
- Conduct analyses that identify/assess business opportunities and address key business challenges
- Formulate and execute queries, with reports that clearly answer business questions related to engagement, fulfillment, lifestage purchase patterns, etc.
- Enable leaders to make timely data-driven product, market-development, and distribution decisions
Requirements
- 3 + years’ experience in a Data Analyst or Performance Analyst role
- Advanced SQL Server / AWS Athena experience
- Experience with visual analytics tools e.g. Tableau
- Experience/exposure to Big Data tools (i.e. Hive, AWS/ Python)
- Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visual Basic
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen with an eye for detail and accuracy
