About the role

  • Senior manager leading Sun Life’s early-career recruitment strategy across multiple Canadian business portfolios. Managing talent acquisition teams, campus partnerships, student programs, and recruitment performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Early Careers Talent Acquisition Consultants and Specialists team through regular 1:1 meetings, mentorship, and leadership meetings
  • Lead the full recruitment cycle, including posting, resume screening, interviews, debriefs, and offers
  • Develop a comprehensive campus strategy based on market data and expertise
  • Build strategic partnerships with business units to enhance campus recruitment and advise business partners
  • Contribute to the portfolio's social media strategy
  • Create, measure, and report on ROI, KPIs, and DEI initiatives
  • Lead continuous improvement of campus recruitment strategies, partnerships, and processes
  • Attend and/or lead internal and external events during business and non-business hours
  • Manage onboarding and performance for students in the portfolio
  • Lead student initiatives and contribute to student success and development

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of overall talent acquisition experience
  • At least three years of campus recruitment experience
  • People leadership experience demonstrating success leading, developing, and managing teams is preferred
  • Strong presentation skills with comfort presenting to both internal and external audiences
  • Ability to travel to various campuses during busy recruitment periods
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, partnering business units, and candidates
  • Strategic thinking with creative problem-solving abilities based on business needs
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills
