About the role

  • Student, Solution Architect role supporting Infrastructure Architecture team and contributing to client-centric solutions at Sun Life. Engaging in hands-on experience while helping enhance architectural vision.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Infrastructure Architecture team in the creation of solutions
  • Conduct analysis to support these solutions across business and technical dimensions
  • Solve enterprise-wide complex business requirements
  • Demonstrate forward thinking around where the business is going and how technology can support these efforts
  • Collaborate with the broader enterprise architecture team to create and maintain standards for the overall architectural vision
  • Develop knowledge of the capabilities of current infrastructure portfolios of solutions across geographies
  • Create proof of concepts for various technical concepts, developing documentation to describe and explain the concept and related solutions

Requirements

  • Enrolled in 2nd year or later of a university computer science, engineering or other technically-focused degree program
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and team building skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Excellent problem analysis and trouble shooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Multi-tasker full of great energy and attitude to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Prior experience working in a matrixed or virtual environment
