About the role

  • TD Wealth Financial Planner building client relationships, reviewing finances, and delivering tailored investment advice. Growing client practices while managing risk and improving service across Atlantic Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Attend TD Wealth’s virtual career event dedicated to financial planning
  • Learn about TD Wealth’s financial planning business model and vision
  • Ask questions of regional leaders, guest Financial Planners, and other participants
  • Build strong client relationships and understand clients’ life and financial objectives
  • Conduct in-depth financial reviews and provide ongoing support and guidance
  • Analyze results using data-driven insights and develop recommendations
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of financial programs, policies, and practices
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve shared objectives and enhance client experience
  • Monitor productivity and service delivery and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends
  • Mentor and guide colleagues
  • Uphold risk management and control aligned with the organization’s risk appetite
  • Contribute to a positive, service-oriented workplace

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in banking services, with a track record of managing client relationships and providing tailored investment advice (preferred)
  • Willingness to obtain Registered Representative (RR) licensing with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), if not currently licensed
  • Commitment to achieving the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within the first three years in the role
  • CFP eligibility: University Degree OR up to 10 years of qualifying work experience OR QAFP professional in good standing for a minimum of 5 years at the time of applying
  • Candidates must reside in Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island (PEI), Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick, Canada
