IT infrastructure designer supporting TD’s Canadian retail banking labs and branch technology. Managing lab environments, testing, change governance, vendors, and production readiness.
Responsibilities
Support Canadian Retail Branch partners requiring hardware, lab environments, testing support, and technical guidance within the Creekside Lab
Provision, configure, set up, and maintain retail lab devices and infrastructure
Perform retail change governance and integration activities, including guidance on testing, signoffs, change activities, support activities, and release readiness
Action service requests, support timelines, escalate issues, and help resolve problems across the Canadian Retail platform and applications
Research, install, configure, provision, support, and document systems
Build, deploy, and maintain servers, workstations, peripherals, operating systems, middleware, lab segments, and production-mirroring environments
Coordinate with third parties and hardware and software vendors on problems, fixes, specifications, firmware updates, and support escalations
Monitor system lifecycles and redevelop infrastructure components where required
Research and deploy new technologies while evolving the infrastructure and operational environment
Use metrics to monitor environment performance and improve performance and resource utilization
Execute stability analyses and test plans, report results, and address application, data, cross-capability, and cross-release issues
Facilitate UAT sessions and assist with triage of testing defects
Act as a point of contact between business users and technical or application teams
Design, review, and integrate hardware and application requirements
Maintain secure computing facilities, technical infrastructure, and architecture
Follow technology architecture, risk, capacity, disaster recovery, and business recovery standards and procedures
Build knowledge of TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools, techniques, and industry trends
Collaborate to resolve critical service issues
Requirements
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
3 to 5 years of relevant experience
Experience in the Canadian retail banking environment, financial services, or customer-focused service industries
Commitment to staying current with industry and business trends
Readiness to serve as a go-to resource for technology, trends, and processes
Ability to configure, upgrade, and administer business applications and systems of moderate to high complexity with minimal supervision
Strong problem determination skills, including data gathering and analysis
Comfort acting as a reference point for the team or clients
Ability to develop scripts to address application or system gaps and simplify or enhance application and system environments
Strong technical infrastructure knowledge
Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
Ability to support lab environments, hardware provisioning, stability analysis, change governance, UAT, vendor coordination, and issue resolution
Ability to work in a secure and risk-aware environment
