- Jr. Project Coordinator at Ledcor, supporting Highway Maintenance team in Grande Prairie. Hands-on role assisting in highway maintenance and construction projects under experienced supervision.
Responsibilities
- Support our Highway Maintenance team in Grande Prairie
- Work under the guidance of experienced supervisors
- Contribute to the successful delivery of highway maintenance and construction projects
- Gain exposure to all aspects of operations, including quality control, estimating, contract administration, crew management, equipment operations, and more
- Learn technical and operational aspects of highway maintenance
- Support safe and efficient work practices; promote a positive safety culture
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, and materials testing
- Analyze operational data (e.g., storm response, patrols, drainage, vegetation)
- Build relationships, influence key stakeholders and proactively participate in discussions
- Manage quality documentation, procurement tasks, and project reporting
Requirements
- 1-3 years of related experience in project coordination, management or a combination of education and field exposure
- CET or EIT designation is a nice to have but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented and proactive
- Familiarity with construction documentation, RFIs, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Ability to problem solve on the fly
- A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and scheduling tools
- Flexibility to travel to other locations
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Valid driver’s license with clear 3-year abstract
