About the role

  • Account Manager growing TELUS Agriculture's Saskatchewan territory. Selling farm software, IoT, and agronomy solutions while advising producers on ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a growing territory in Regina and across Saskatchewan
  • Build high-trust relationships with commercial grain producers, mixed operations, retailers, and agronomists
  • Own the full sales cycle from territory planning through closing deals and expanding customer value
  • Sell and differentiate Optimize RX, crop marketing solutions, IoT, and Sure Check
  • Build an annual territory business plan and review it monthly with leadership
  • Manage accounts through the full sales pipeline and maintain closure rate and average revenue per account
  • Use Salesforce CRM to forecast, track pipeline, and inform territory strategy
  • Execute corporate sales strategy while respecting Saskatchewan's seasonal cycles and market realities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor connecting agronomic planning with measurable ROI and operational efficiency
  • Provide frontline technical support including software navigation, file loading, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with the customer success team to drive customer value and product adoption
  • Nurture and grow retail partner and agronomy advisor relationships
  • Participate in trade shows, farm events, and community activities
  • Develop and manage a promotional territory budget
  • Build a network of anchor customers and influencers
  • Report to the Regional Sales Manager

Requirements

  • Genuine curiosity about farmer challenges and commitment to solutions that drive long-term profitability and operational success
  • Background in farming, crop input sales, agronomy, farm retail advisory, or another ag-adjacent role
  • Understanding of Saskatchewan farming and farmer decision-making
  • Proven track record of closing deals in a farm or agricultural business environment
  • Ability to speak confidently at the farm level, listen effectively, and earn trust with farmers and ag professionals
  • Comfort with farm financials, including accounting, ROI, and margin analysis
  • Ability to help farmers understand the business case for digital tools
  • Salesforce proficiency, including maintaining pipeline, forecasting accurately, and using CRM insights
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, execute territory plans, and follow through on commitments
  • Sales training or certification is a great-to-have
  • CCA or P.Ag credentials are great-to-haves
  • Experience with farm management software, precision ag platforms, or ag retail advisory tools is a great-to-have
