About the role

  • Senior Brand Marketing Manager shaping global campaigns for thatgamecompany’s emotionally resonant games. Leading North American strategy, community advocacy, creator partnerships, and brand/IP expansion for SKY and seasonal content.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute storytelling-led marketing campaigns reflecting thatgamecompany’s identity
  • Lead North American marketing initiatives and tailor global strategies to Gen Z and INFP audiences
  • Develop brand plans for SKY and seasonal expansions from reveal through live operations
  • Oversee the North American marketing budget and establish emotional-engagement, community-health, and growth KPIs
  • Represent player interests internally and ground strategies in player behavior
  • Vet creative and communications for authenticity and respect
  • Partner with aligned creators and influencers on authentic integrations
  • Collaborate with creative teams on campaign aesthetics, visual direction, and creative platforms
  • Build initiatives that strengthen the studio’s long-term brand legacy and cultural impact
  • Experiment with non-traditional channels and rapidly optimize campaigns using data-driven insights
  • Lead complex marketing projects from ideation through delivery and maintain cross-functional alignment
  • Establish and optimize workflows with the Head of Brand & North America Marketing
  • Identify and manage strategic licensing opportunities extending the studio’s brand and IP

Requirements

  • At least 8 years in Brand Marketing or Product Management within the video games industry
  • Preferably experience with live-service or mobile gaming
  • Proven track record of building compelling, emotionally resonant marketing campaigns
  • Community-first mindset with deep empathy for player needs and commitment to authenticity
  • Extensive knowledge of the North American gaming landscape and Gen Z audience behavior
  • History of innovative thinking and resilience to learn from failed experiments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with international teams and complex IP licenses is a nice-to-have
  • Experience in visual design, copywriting, or video production is a nice-to-have
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is unavailable
  • Ability to work core meeting hours of 10 am to 5 pm Pacific time
