About the role

  • Product Manager shaping APIs, integrations, and foundational products for larger home-service businesses. Driving growth at Thumbtack, the home-care marketplace connecting homeowners with local service professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for unlocking growth among larger, more sophisticated pros
  • Develop a deep understanding of how larger pros operate through research and data
  • Identify unmet needs, product gaps, and new growth opportunities
  • Set the strategy for APIs, data integrations, and partner offerings
  • Work with partnerships, business development, and external partners to create value for pros and open new growth channels
  • Lead new products and capabilities from early discovery through launch and adoption
  • Help complex businesses succeed on a product originally designed for smaller businesses
  • Partner with engineering on tradeoffs between near-term opportunities and durable technical foundations
  • Bring engineering, design, data science, marketing, sales, and partnerships together around clear priorities
  • Lead execution across organizational boundaries
  • Define success, test high-potential ideas, and scale successful experiences and growth levers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Track record of owning complex product areas and delivering meaningful customer and business outcomes
  • Experience turning ambiguous, early stage opportunities into clear product strategies and taking new products from discovery through launch and adoption
  • Strong technical fluency and experience owning technically complex products
  • Ability to partner with engineering on APIs, data, integrations, and system tradeoffs while keeping customer value at the center
  • Excellent product judgment and customer empathy
  • Ability to understand complex business workflows and turn them into simple, intuitive experiences
  • Strong analytical thinking and business acumen
  • Ability to uncover growth opportunities, define success, and balance near-term impact with long-term investments
  • AI-first mindset, including curiosity, adaptability, enthusiasm for agentic AI workflows, and sound judgment about where AI adds value
  • Proven ability to influence and lead across engineering, design, data science, commercial teams, and external stakeholders
  • Clear communication to navigate different incentives and build alignment
